Some readers of this website might be inclined to try to locate additional information on the Thai-Burma Railway. While this should be encouraged, it needs to come with a warning. A simple internet search will produce thousands of citations. Unfortunately, most are poor at best and some outright wrong. Here we particularly note that most tourist-generated videos posted to YOUTUBE are particularly misinformed.
Of course the vast majority of all the information concentrates on the Allied POWs and very little on the romusha. There are also a reasonable number of non-English language sources whose validity will have to be left to others to evaluate.
