You have arrived at the website dedicated to the story of the Asian Forced Laborers (AFL) of WW2. It is administered by the Malaysians and Indians in Bangkok.

The AFL are truly the forgotten people who labored and died in Burma and Thailand building the Thai-Burma Railway (TBR) and other similar projects between 1942 and 1947.

We will never know their names.

We will never know how many nor exactly where they came from.

We can, however, try to tell their story so that they will never be forgotten.

So as to make this complex story more accessible, we have divided it into Sections addressing the various aspects of the story.
